From zero to 12 testers

Two paths. One community.

Publish your Android app to reach the 12 testers Google requires. Or test other apps to earn Cheese. Most members do both — that's why it works.

For publishers

You have an app to ship

Five steps, days not weeks, no friends-and-family begging.

1

Sign in with Google

We use the same Google account you publish your app with — no extra credentials. Closed testing requires a Google Group, and we link to it for you.

2

Add your app

Paste the Play Store link. We pull the public listing — name, icon, package id — nothing private. You stay in full control of the build.

3

Set a Cheese budget

Cheese is our virtual currency. Earn it by testing other apps, or buy a pack if you'd rather skip that step. The Cheese you spend determines how visible your campaign is.

4

Wait for testers

Your campaign appears in the Feed. Testers join, install your app, and stay enrolled for the full 14 days. We track presence daily so you don't lose slots silently.

5

Hit 12, request production

Once 12 testers have completed the 14-day cycle, you can request production access from Google Play. Our dashboard shows exactly when you're eligible.

For testers

You have an Android phone

Earn Cheese by helping other devs through the 14-day grind.

1

Browse the Feed

Open the app, scroll the Feed, pick a campaign that looks fun. Each card shows what the app does, how much Cheese you'll earn, and how long it takes.

2

Install and stay

Install through the Google Play closed testing link. The 12 Testers app pings your device daily to confirm the install is still there — that's how Google counts you.

3

Open the app once a day

Most campaigns ask for a quick daily check-in: open the app, do something, close it. Some apps ask for actual feedback on a specific feature.

4

Earn Cheese

Cheese drops daily into your wallet. Complete the full 14-day cycle to claim the bonus. Skip a day and you lose the bonus — but not what you've already earned.

5

Spend or save

Use Cheese to publish your own app. Or stockpile it. Or trade it for boosts. The economy is balanced so testing pays off if you actually want to publish.

No friends required

Most apps fail Google's closed testing not because they're bad, but because the developer doesn't have 12 friends willing to install and use a beta for two weeks. 12 Testers replaces friends with a community of devs who are in the same boat.
